Whenever I come across views that I disagree with or even find repulsive on social media, the last thing I want to do is block or unfollow the people spewing those views. No, I want to be well informed about exactly what people are thinking, promoting, and agreeing with so that I am ready to respond with a carefully formulated response if the situation ever calls for it. Being proactive and strategic means keeping close tabs on the public conversation even though you may not be in a position to speak out in every instance, in every forum.
