Bayan asking for zakat and masjids allowing them to ask is not unexpected. Masjids say you can give zakat to build and support masjids, and modern scholars say this is OK. The masjids then told their supporters to wear masks, pray six feet apart, vaccinate, and kicked people out of the masjids for not complying. Masjids have become like the government, where you have no rights over the money you give.
