The Invisible Red Line Between “Sexual Freedom” and Polygyny

    Share post:

In a striking turn of events, French women are now confronting a profound reality that has been long ignored: some women actually choose to embrace polygyny.

“If your husband wants [to take] a second wife, let him do it.”

These comments do not come from Taliban propaganda videos but from a “French” influencer who encourages women to accept polygamy in order “to better support their husbands.” Illegal statements such as these are communicated on our platforms without the slightest amount of control, while polygamy is a criminal offense in France. As a reminder, 56% of young Muslims place the Shari’ah above the laws of the Republic.

This has inevitably unleashed a huge storm of indignation and disbelief.

How could polygyny possibly find its place in France, a nation that prides itself on its deep-rooted church traditions and Sunday Latin masses? Isn’t this the France we’re constantly reminded of?

Ironically, the loudest critics of this phenomenon are seldom seen with religious symbols such as the cross. This smacks of hypocrisy—condemning polygyny for being “un-French” while idolizing a perhaps fictional, idyllic version of the French Republic.

Let’s be clear: the France we know today is not one that typically associates with polygyny.

Yet, when it comes to other societal norms, like prostitution, France’s stance is notably incoherent. Here, the legalization of this “trade” finds unexpected advocates, even among certain Catholic circles, reflecting a viewpoint once argued by Thomas Aquinas.

Thus, Augustine says that a whore acts in the world as the bilge in a ship or the sewer in a palace: “Remove the sewer, and you will fill the palace with a stench.” Similarly, concerning the bilge, he says: “Take away whores from the world, and you will fill it with sodomy.” [Book 4, Chapter 14]

In contemporary France, various forms of prostitution are often portrayed as avenues to wealth and independence for women—a disgusting and warped notion of honor and freedom.

Consider, too, the widespread acceptance of “swinging” in France, advertised very openly and celebrated as a symbol of freedom from the “archaic” bonds of marriage. Swinging is touted as an egalitarian pursuit, available to all, regardless of gender.

And what of threesomes? Emblematic of libertarian values, they seem to be a socially acceptable form of sexual exploration. A woman’s desire for a relationship involving her partner and someone else? That, of course, seen as liberating, an expression of sexual freedom.

But then, we run straight into the wall of polygyny. That is somehow deemed as a step too far, clashing with what is perceived to be the “French spirit.”

But which “spirit” exactly are we really talking about here?

    The libertine? The Catholic?

France has, after all, legitimized nearly every form of sexual expression, from prostitution to threesomes. So why does polygyny elicit such great feelings of discomfort?

After all, it’s not a question of equality—threesomes aren’t exactly a perfect model of balance.

Nor is it about male sexuality—the acceptance of prostitution has made that abundantly clear.

The real issue with polygyny lies in its nature as a traditional, esteemed institution that fortifies societal structures. And this, it seems, is absolutely intolerable.

Herein lies the irony of the French spirit: it embraces a plethora of sexual freedoms yet recoils at the very concept of polygyny. It has nothing to do with libertine or Catholic legacies. If anything, it’s a stark aversion to its traditional roots—a revealing aspect of France’s modern-day ethos.

And thus you have the paradox of the French spirit in its embrace of a wide spectrum of supposed sexual freedoms yet vehemently rejecting polygyny. It is clearly neither a matter of libertine values nor Catholic traditions. In the end, what really appears to be the reason behind modern France’s aversion to polygyny is its deep-seated disdain for anything that resembles traditionalism. It is almost as though it is an echo of a spirit of Satanism.

“Echo of Satanism” the French spirit is nothing more than the spirit or echo of satanism well said and the Catholics who oppose it are idiots because even traditional Catholics agree that when the state is on the verge of collapse either due to being outnumbered or low fertility polygamy is encouraged they should accept it due to the fact they are getting outbreeded by Muslims and other non Muslim immigrants .

Inshallah I also encourage a lot of the western Muslims to convert the native white population to Islam and intermarry with them so that we can have more evidence to debunk the claim that western Muslims are just brownies and black people when the existence of more white Muslims would and most of the Muslim populations of the west being white would refute these liars and they would have less taking points against us do note it’s me encouraging not forgiving . But we should at least do the first

The real reason they hate polygyny: 2 or more competing for the heart of 1 man, which would inevitably a competition of: who is more submissive, obedient, loyal, available, kind and compassionate. Women know inherently the power they have being a man’s only available means of intimacy, and the amount of subpar behavior men don’t hold them accountable for because of this “availability”.
