How to Destroy the Wahhabi ‘Israel vs Iran’ Argument in Less Than Ten Seconds

Over time, Muslim Skeptic has thoroughly dismantled the deviant ideology of Wahhabism via documentaries, debates, and online discourse. Countering the Wahhabi movement is important at such a time when Pan-Islamic unity is needed to bring Muslims under the banner of la ilaha illallah, against our greatest enemies who seek to wipe us off the face of the Earth.

One very strange low-IQ argument put forward by the Wahhabis is to try and frame Iran as an equivalent or a greater threat to Sunni Muslims than Israel is, thereby trying to justify neutrality and lack of support for either side, and a ‘May Allah destroy both oppressors’ approach. This particular argument is peddled online by Wahhabis like Adnan Rashid.

The argument is a quantitative one, comparing the number of Muslim deaths that the Iranian government is responsible for in Syria, versus the number of Muslim deaths that Israel is responsible for in Palestine. And what Wahhabis like Adnan Rashid constantly claim is that Iran has killed ten times more Muslims than Israel has, and Iran is thus not only as bad as Israel, it is in fact a much bigger threat to the Muslims.

Right off the bat, the worst part of this argument is it implies that Israel is the lesser of two evils, justifying support for Israel against Iran. This would be in-line with the history of the Wahhabis, who in the past also sided with the British against the Ottoman Muslims, justifying their treachery through Ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab’s extreme deviant ideology.

This claim is also demonstrably incorrect, as a Harvard study published in early June 2025 estimated that 377,000 Palestinians were missing in Gaza, and the Syrian Muslims killed by the Iranian-backed Assad regime numbered up to 400,000. The video also explains how these Wahhabis ignore atrocities committed against Muslims by Sunni countries, such as Saudi against Yemen, UAE against Sudan, and Pakistan against Bangladesh, selectively focusing only on Shi’ah Iran against Syria.

So, in their selective estimation, not only is Iran ten times worse than Israel, it has backed the killing of roughly the same number of Muslims over a much longer span of time than Israel. Another issue is that the illegal Israeli occupation has lasted for more than 75 years – almost a century. However, there is an additional problem with this flawed sectarian argument that makes it even more obsolete, and this is a glaring omission made by the Wahhabis whilst making the Iran vs Israel argument.

It is the fact that they omit the mention of the United States as an adversary in this conflict. They frame the situation as Iran vs just Israel instead of Iran vs the US-Israel regime. They do this in order to make the death toll on the Zionist side look smaller and more comparable to Iran’s crimes.

This has been a consistent deliberate omission by the Wahhabis like Adnan Rashid. It has even been used by Uthman bin Farooq in a sectarian video he recently posted against Muslim Skeptic, which is strange because he speaks in the video at length about the US when making anti-Iranian arguments. However, when it comes to mentioning the current conflict, he conveniently omits the US government from the conversation, resorting to the standard sectarian argument that ‘Iran has killed more Muslims than Israel.’

So, he mentioned the US when it suited his argument, but he omitted it when it didn’t fit his narrative. This is a hypocritical approach, to say the least.

And the reason that these sectarians desperately try to frame it as just a matter of Iran vs Israel, is because the second it becomes Iran vs the US-Israel regime, the flimsy argument immediately collapses. This is because the US-Israel regime together is responsible for far more Muslim deaths than Iran.

A study published by Brown University estimated that the human cost of the post 9/11 War on Terror against the Muslim world could be up to 4.5–4.7 million Muslims. Millions! If we want to take the quantitative route, this makes the US-Israel regime 10 times worse than Iran, not the other way around.

On top of that, these Zionists governments are enemies of Islam, routinely insulting the din of Allah and mocking and blaspheming against Islam. Israeli officials and Rabbis routinely call for the death of every child in Gaza. Zionist US officials like the disgusting bloated pig Randy Fine openly call for Muslims to be destroyed, and repulsive US Senators like Lindsey Graham openly call for Gaza to be flattened. How is this in any way comparable to Iran?

This is the argument that Wahhabis and other sectarians don’t want to have, because while defending Israel when framing it as Iran vs Israel is just a deeply flawed and brittle argument, defending Israel when it’s Iran vs US-Israel is frankly an impossible task.

Therefore, whenever Wahhabis and other sectarians bring up Iran vs Israel online and try to make this dumb argument, they must be reminded that, actually, it’s Iran vs the US-Israel regime, which is responsible for millions of Muslim deaths worldwide.
